Product Description

The Wound Boot is a breathable boot with elastic sides to cover a bandage or cast if needed. The Spandex sides allow for a range of healing stages - expands to cover bandage or cast and reduces when bandage is removed for continual healing protection. It protects the wound area while healing and restricts licking or chewing at wounds. The boot is breathable to allow air to freely flow in and around the wound area - reducing moisture and keeping the wound area dryer and cooler. The boot is designed to be breathable, not waterproof. If the dog goes outdoors in wet conditions, consider taping a plastic bag over the boot to prevent moisture from penetrating the boot. U.S. Patent 7,971,557 and 8,113,152. Other patents pending. 3 sizes to fit small to very large dogs - Size is based on the width of the dog's paw without any bandage. How to measure width: Place dogs foot on paper and press on top to spread foot like when walking. Mark the sides. Small size fits 1-1/4" - 1-3/4" wide paw and expands to fit circumference of 4-1/2" to 6-1/2"; Medium size fits 2-1/4" - 2-3/4" wide paw and expands to fit circumference of 6-1/2" to 9-1/2"; Large fits 3-1/4" - 4" wide paw and expands to fit circumference of 7-1/2" to 11"".
